Toronto Proclaims "Will to Intervene" Day

May 10, 2012, was designated "Will to Intervene" Day in the City of Toronto by Mayor Rob Ford.   Toronto becomes the third Canadian City, following Vancouver and Calgary, to formally support the Will to Intervene Project and their work to help prevent mass atrocities.

The event was co-organized by the Montreal Institute for Genocide and Human Rights Studies (MIGS) at Concordia University and the student-led Canadian Centre for the Responsibility to Protect (CCR2P) at the Munk School, University of Toronto.  The Will to Intervene is a project of MIGS, supported by lead grants from The Simons Foundation and Concordia University, as well as contributions from James Stanford and The Aaron and Wally Fish Family Foundation.
