Dr. Tadatoshi Akiba Named Chairman of the Middle Powers Initiative

Dr. Tadatoshi Akiba, a Peace Leader at The Simons Founation and former Mayor of Hiroshima and President of Mayors for Peace, has beeen appointed Chairman of the Middle Powers Initiative (MPI).

MPI works with influential middle power countries to bridge the political divide between nuclear weapon states and non-nuclear weapon states, and to advance practical proposals for nuclear disarmament.
