This compilation of current military facilities in the circumpolar region continues to be offered as an aid to addressing a key question posed by the Canadian Senate more than five years ago: “Is the [Arctic] region again becoming militarized?”
The Hiroshima Prefecture has released "Hiroshima Report 2018" which studies, analyzes and evaluates 36 countries’ performance on nuclear disarmament, non-proliferation, and nuclear security in 2017. The report lays out challenges for nuclear-weapon-states to work on nuclear disarmament and introduces efforts being made by non-nuclear-weapon states.
The Government of Canada recently released their first new national cyber security strategy since October 2010. See the following for commentary on the new strategy from Paul Meyer, The Simons Foundation’s Senior Fellow in Space and Cyber Security.
